Get to Know BC Rescue, Regional Animal Protection Society (RAPS)!
When it comes to helping animals, Regional Animal Protection Society (RAPS) is undoubtedly one of the most important organizations in Metro Vancouver. Through its no-kill shelter, veterinary hospital, fostering network and feline sanctuary (which is one of the largest in North America!), RAPS has rescued, treated and homed countless animals since it was founded by Carol Reichert in the 1980s.
RAPS operates on the belief that all lives are valuable, and all animals deserve loving forever homes. It is run by over 200 compassionate volunteers and a highly specialized team of veterinarians and animal rescue workers. Their cat sanctuary, which houses hundreds of abandoned and surrendered cats, even features an area accommodating cats with leukemia and FIV—conditions that would lead to euthanasia at many other facilities.
To learn more about this ameowzing organization, plus common veterinary issues, cat care tips and more, tune into RAPS’s pre-recorded Q&A on November 7th, from 10:30-11:15 AM PST! This session is FREE with the purchase of a meowfest General Admission ticket.
All proceeds from meowfest Virtual will be donated to RAPS and TrapKing Humane Solutions.
