Help create the world’s biggest fur ball at Meowfest in Toronto this weekend

Cat lovers have a unique chance to help break a world record with some of their feline’s fur at this year’s meowfest in Toronto. 

The annual cat appreciation event is going down on Sunday, July 23 at The Warehouse Venue in North York, and is attempting to create the world’s biggest fur ball. 

The huge feat is being done in partnership with The Bailey Cat Company. If you want to participate, you’re encouraged to brush your cat regularly ahead of Meowfest and collect the fur.

Calling all cat lovers: the “meowfest” is taking over the Rocky Mountaineer Station at 1755 Cottrell St. on Saturday.

The touring festival is an opportunity for feline enthusiasts to meet celebrity cats and their owners while supporting animal shelters and rescue organizations.

On top of meet-and-greets, the festival features a cat life drawing by Catfe as well as speed dating events for cat lovers.

Cat stravaganza meowfest is coming back to Toronto this summer.

The cat-stravaganza will take place on Sunday, July 23rd at The Warehouse Venue.

You can expect a day of cat-themed shopping, interactive workshops, speed-dating, heart-melting encounters with adoptable kittens, food trucks and celebrity cat meet-and-greets.

Vancouver Attempts World Record for Biggest Ball of Cat Hair This Summer (Seriously)

On Saturday August 19, organizers at Meowfest are aiming to break the record for the world’s biggest furball in Vancouver. That means they’re asking festival attendees to start yanking hair out of their cat’s brush, preserving it, and eventually to bring it to the venue (Rocky Mountaineer Station, which is where we had the 2022 Restaurant Awards… gotta respect a venue that’s versatile enough to host the best chefs in the city and a massive ball of cat hair). The attempt at the world record is hosted in partnership with Bailey Cat Co., makers of a cult-fave cat brush.
