Brush Up on Pet-iquette
With so many adoptable cats and celeb-purrties, there's a few things you might need to brush up on if you’re not used to seeing this many cats.
Every cat is different, with some being as friendly as can be, and others being super nervous meeting new people. Despite how kind and gentle you can approach some cats, it’s important to follow the lead of the cat, and see how the cat wants to be approached, if at all.
As a rule of thumb ALWAYS ask their cat parent if it’s okay to approach, pet, or take a picture with their cat! Even though meowfest is all about the tummy rubs, it’s important to make sure that every cat feels respected, especially during the loud and exciting festivities, that might be out of their comfort zone.
That being said, meowfest has a huge variety of cats! So, if there's a cat who doesn’t want to be pet, there will surely be another kitty ready for tons of head pats, and ear scratches!
